District 3 Notes for York & Adams Counties – Week 9

York-Adams Interscholastic Athletic Association (YAIAA) Division I action:

The Mustangs of South Western (7-2 overall, 5-1 League) defeated the Bobcats of Northeastern (7-2 overall, 4-2 League) 24-7 in league action.  The Mustangs gained 169-yards rushing and 134-yards passing for a total of 303-yards of offense.  Senior quarterback Brock Geiman completed 10 of 17 passes for the 134-yards and 3 touchdowns, 2 for 65-yards to Miles Francis, (including touchdowns of 19 and 46-yards), 2 for 26-yards to Corbin Byers, (including an 8-yard touchdown), 2 for 25-yards to Noah Staub, 2 for 10-yards to Zack Hughes, and 2 for 8-yards to Jeff Green, for the Mustangs.  Geiman has completed 79 of 155 passes for 1,237-yards and 17 touchdowns for the season.  Robby Harbison led the Mustangs rushing attack with 12 carries for 49-yards, followed by Hughes with 11 for 33-yards, Green with 6 for 33-yards, Mike Johnson with 6 for 26-yards, Geiman with 4 for 14-yards, Francis with 3 for 8-yards, Jacob Muir with 3 for 7-yards, and Kyle Davis with 1 carry for minus 1-yard.  Wes Sneeringer kicked 4 extra points, Bubba Carbaugh recovered a fumble and recorded a pass hurry, Skylar Bowman recorded a sack for a loss of 9-yards and 3 pass hurries, Byers recorded 4 pass hurries, Hughes and Tyler Fulmore each defended a pass, and Josh Zeroth recorded a pass hurry, for the Mustangs.  The Mustangs are currently ranked number 10 for District 3 Class AAAA playoff consideration.  Only the top 16 teams qualify for the playoffs.  The Bobcats gained 112-yards rushing and 9 yards passing for a total of 121 yards gained.  Running back Kody Reeser, filling in at quarterback with all of the quarterbacks out of action, completed 1 of 11 passes to Jordan Zirkle for the 9-yards for the Bobcats.  Reeser led the Bobcats rushing attack with 13 carries for 62-yards, followed by Anu Johnson with 8 carries for 40-yards, and Chris Whack with 4 carries for 10-yards.  Taemar Willis returned a kickoff 92-yards for a touchdown, Cameron Artman kicked 1 extra point, Zach Williams defended 2 passes, and Michael Cooper and Gary Gobernik each caused a fumble, for the Bobcats.  The Bobcats are currently ranked number 3 for District 3 Class AAA playoff consideration.  Only the top 16 teams qualify for the playoffs.

The Wildcats of Dallastown (9-0 overall, 6-0 league) defeated the Panthers of Central York (2-7 overall, 1-5 league) 33-14 in league action, wrapping up at least a share of the Division I crown.  Edgar Centeno led the Wildcats rushing attack with 123-yards (including a 79-yard touchdown), followed by Dillon Callahan with 87 (including a 41-yard touchdown), Cade Gold with 44 (including touchdowns of 3 and 6-yards), Jack Marks with 42, Michael Sparks with 28, and Connor Green with 7-yards.  Quarterback Gold completed 2 of 2 passes for 24-yards before leaving the game with an injury, 1 for 15-yards to Israel Carrion and 1 for 9-yards to Jakob Jansen, and quarterback Sparks completed 1 of 5 passes for 7-yards to Jansen, for the Wildcats.  Drake Pew kicked 2 field goals, each for 20-yards, and 3 extra points for the Wildcats.  The Wildcats are currently ranked number 6 for District 3 Class AAAA playoff consideration.  Only the top 16 teams qualify for the playoffs.  Shyheim Goff led the Panther rushing attack with 63-yards, followed by Noriega Goff with 45 (including a 20-yard touchdown), Nik Strine with 20-yards (including a 5-yard touchdown), and Will VanDyke with no yards.  Quarterback Strine completed 11 of 25 passes for 161-yards, 5 for 106-yards to Sakai Barton, 3 for 24-yards to Brandon Falkenstein, 2 for 26-yards to Shawn Johnston, and 1 for 5-yards to Noreaga Goff, for the Panthers.  Carter Luckenbaugh kicked 2 extra points, Devin Gaffney and Noreaga Goff each recovered a fumble, Rodney Johnson caused a fumble, Brennden Jenkins recorded a sack for a 10-yard loss, and Drew Anderson and Jordan Bowie each defended a pass, for the Panthers.  The Panthers are currently ranked number 21 for District 3 Class AAAA playoff consideration.  Only the top 16 teams qualify for the playoffs.

The Lions of Red Lion (6-3 overall, 4-2 league) defeated the Rockets of Spring Grove (4-5 overall, 3-3 league) 28-14 in league action.  Dalton Grove led the Lions rushing attack with 80-yards (including a 1-yard touchdown), followed by Dylan Gurreri with 77, Alex Keough with 51 (including a 3-yard touchdown), and Patrick Daugherty with 15-yards (including a 1-yard touchdown.  Quarterback Grove completed 9 of 14 passes for 125-yards and 1 touchdown, 3 for 52-yards to Keough, 3 for 47-yards to Kendrick Boyd-Gillespie (including a 16-yard touchdown), 2 for 14-yards to Ben Fry, and 1 for 12-yards to James Jackson, for the Lions.  Sam Emig kicked 4 extra points, Fry recovered a fumble and recorded 2 sacks, Josh Donaldson intercepted a pass, and Nick Argento recorded a sack, for the Lions.  The Lions are currently ranked number 12 for District 3 Class AAAA playoff consideration.  Only the top 16 teams qualify for the playoffs.  Nick Erickson led the Rockets rushing attack with 115-yards (including a 76-yard touchdown), followed by Ryan Daugherty with minus 1-yard, Jake Messersmith with minus 3-yards, and LJ Chisolm with minus 4-yards.  Quarterback Messersmith completed 5 of 14 passes for 69-yards and 1 touchdown, 2 for 45-yards to Adam Wharehime (including a 14-yard touchdown), 1 for 21-yards to Anthony Beddia, 1 for 8-yards to Brady Stein, and 1 for minus 5-yards to Erickson, for the Rockets.  Andrew Luckenbaugh kicked 2 extra points for the Rockets.  The Rockets are currently ranked number 17 for District 3 Class AAA playoff consideration.  Only the top 16 teams qualify for the playoffs.

The Colonials of New Oxford (2-7 overall, 1-5 league) defeated the Bearcats of William Penn, York High, (0-9 overall, 0-6 league) 26-14 in league action.  Ferrious Ashford led the Colonials rushing attack with 129-yards (including touchdowns of 4 and 1-yards), followed by Corban Czap with 51, Brandon Scott with 14, Kyle West with 2-yards, and Trevon Brown with minus 2-yards.  Quarterback Czap completed 7 of 15 passes for 91-yards and 2 touchdowns, 5 for 71-yards to Brown (including a 28-yard touchdown), 1 for 15-yards to Ashford, and 1 for 5-yards and a touchdown to Shane Rolle, for the Colonials.  Luiz Partida kicked 2 extra points, Dalton Smith recorded a sack for a 9-yard loss, and Joey Hoffman recorded a sack for a 7-yard loss, for the Colonials.  The Colonials are currently ranked number 33 for District 3 Class AAA playoff consideration.  Only the top 16 teams qualify for the playoffs.   Khalid Dorsey led the Bearcats rushing attack with 81-yards (including a 52-yard touchdown, followed by Nykam Beverly with 35, Andrew Radzik with 5-yards, and Justin Colston with no yards.  Quarterback Colston completed 14 of 33 passes for 148-yards and 1 touchdown, 4 for 57-yards to Jose Santiago-Curet, 3 for 37-yards to Tallian Lehr (including a 15-yard touchdown), 2 for 20-yards to Eric Mann, 2 for 17-yards to Dorsey, 2 for 11-yards to Nyshaun Ritter, and 1 for 6-yards to Durel Wilson, for the Bearcats.  Colston ran in for a 2-point conversion for the Bearcats.  The Bearcats are currently ranked number 28 for District 3 Class AAAA playoff consideration.  Only the top 16 teams qualify for the playoffs.

York-Adams Interscholastic Athletic Association (YAIAA) Division II action:

The Trojans of York Suburban (7-2 overall, 5-0 league) defeated the Warriors of Gettysburg (1-8 overall, 0-5 league) 45-14 in league action, guaranteeing at least a share of the Division crown.  Thomas Merkle has completed 142 of 228 passes for 1,978-yards and 21-touchdowns for the season.  He has added to his school career passing yardage record, which now stands at 4,935-yards.  Merkle has set a new YAIAA career passing yardage record with his 4,935-yards, surpassing the record of 4,894-yards set by Matt Marshall from Spring Grove in 2006.  Collin Mailman has set a new school career pass reception record with 102.  Dajour Henderson led the Trojans rushing attack with 63-yards (including a 36-yard touchdown), followed by Teague Hoffman with 55 (including touchdowns of 53 and 2-yards), Justin Gettle with 6, Ben Igo with 6, and Jake Taylor with 5-yards.  Quarterback Thomas Merkle completed 18 of 29 passes for 286-yards and 3 touchdowns and Igo completed 2 of 3 passes for 21-yards for he Trojans.  Collin Mailman caught 6 passes for 159-yards (touchdowns of 70 and 51-yards from Merkle), Brad Smith caught 7 passes for 109-yards, Colin Deardorff caught 3 passes for 17-yards (including an 8-yard touchdown from Merkle), Teague Hoffman caught 1 passes for 13-yards, Dustin Knaub caught 2 passes for 8-yards, and Taylor caught 1 pass for 1-yard, for the Trojans.  Jonas Atkinson kicked a 29-yard field goal and 6 extra points for the Trojans.  The Trojans are currently ranked number 10 for District 3 Class AAA playoff consideration.  Only the top 16 teams qualify for the playoffs.  Tyler Wilt led the Warriors rushing attack with 43-yards (including a 16-yard touchdown), followed by Edney Celius with 42 (including a 3-yard touchdown), Oakley Marsh with 24, Elijah Jackson with 27, and Wesley Gayle with 14-yards.  Quarterback Wilt completed 6 of 20 passes for 42-yards, 1 for 20-yards to Khalil Hill, 1 for 9-yards to Celius, 1 for 5-yards to Tyler Kiser, 1 for 5-yards to Devin Ringler, and 2 for 3-yards to Patrick Heidecker, for the Warriors.  Dillard Ravoughn kicked 2 extra points for the Warriors.  The Warriors are currently ranked number 36 for District 3 Class AAA playoff consideration.  Only the top 16 teams qualify for the playoffs.

The Bulldogs of West York (4-5 overall, 4-1 league) defeated the Eagles of Dover (4-5 overall, 3-2 league) 39-14 in league action, wrapping up at least a share of the Division I crown.  Ay’Juan Marshall led the Bulldogs rushing attack with 115-yards (including a 32-yard touchdown), followed by Anthony Kahley with 105 (including an 11-yard touchdown), Ryan Narber with 35, Anton Johnson with 34, Tyler Folk with 26 (including a 1-yard touchdown), Nick Spadafora with 6, Mason Bercik with a 3-yard touchdown run, Allen Stauffer with a 2-yard touchdown run, and Terry Cains with minus 1-yard.  Quarterback Folk completed 5 of 15 passes for 92-yards and 1 touchdown, 2 for 43-yards to Dante Dorm, 2 for 27-yards to Terry Cains (including an 18-yard touchdown), and1 for 22-yards to Kahley, for the Bulldogs.  Evan Keim kicked 3 extra points for the Bulldogs.  The Bulldogs are currently ranked number 20 for District 3 Class AAA playoff consideration.  Only the top 16 teams qualify for the playoffs.  Durran Ledbetter led the Eagles rushing attack with 152-yards (including touchdowns of 4 and 48-yards), followed by Cole Jesmer with 9-yards, and Tad Pequignot with minus 1-yard.  Quarterback Pequignot completed 5 of 15 passes for 70-yards, 4 for 72-yards to Caden Snyder and 1 for minus 2-yards to Ledbetter, for the Eagles.  Josh Bradley kicked 2 extra points for the Eagles.  The Eagles are currently ranked number 24 for District 3 Class AAA playoff consideration.  Only the top 16 teams qualify for the playoffs.

The Warriors of Susquehannock (4-5 overall, 3-2 League) defeated the Rams of Kennard-Dale (3-6 overall, 2-4 league) 35-17 in league action.  Myles Moultrie led the Warriors rushing attack with 25-yards, followed by Josh Stoneberg with 20, Jack Allred with 17, Dorian Faster with 9, Kevin Clapp with 6, Alec Kramer with 4, and Brent Hofler with 3-yards.  Quarterback Stoneberg completed 10 of 20 passes for 244-yards and 5 touchdowns, 5 for 140-yards to Nick Tannura (including touchdowns of 10, 29, and 34-yards), 3 for 75-yards to Faster (including a 16-yard touchdown), 2 for 29-yards to Ethan Schammel (including an 8-yard touchdown), for the Warriors.  Adam Hedgeland kicked 5 extra points for the Warriors.  The Warriors are currently ranked number 21 for District 3 Class AAA playoff consideration.  Only the top 16 teams qualify for the playoffs.  Chase Carlile led the Rams rushing attack with 101-yards (including a 12-yard touchdown), followed by Daniel Brewster with 43, Austin Jenkins with 22, Jacob Deppen with 13 (including a 17-yard touchdown), Shawn Ellis with 8 and Nick Workinger with 6-yards.  Quarterback Brewer completed 12 of 19 passes for 134-yards, 5 for 57-yards to Kyle Woolridge, 2 for 28-yards to Connor Stokes, 2 for 23-yards to Jenkins, 2 for 19-yards to Deppen, and 1 for 7-yards to Carlile, for the Rams.  Austin Jenkins kicked a 32-yard field goal for the Rams.

The Golden Knights of Eastern York (4-5 overall, 1-4 league) shut out the Tri-Valley League’s Cardinals of Pine Grove (1-8 overall, 0-7 league) 48-0 in non-league action.  Logan Kline led the Golden Knight’s rushing attack with 111-yards (including an 18-yard touchdown), followed by Brennen Shenk with 100 (9including touchdowns of 5 and 4-yards), Ryan Kalke with 90 (including an 84-yard touchdown), Shane Carberry with 45, Sam Pollock with 41 (including a 1-yard touchdown), Lynn Snell with 20, and Seth Bernstein with 10-yards.  Quarterback Kalke completed 1 of 4 passes for 20-yards to Bernstein for the Golden Knights.  Kalke returned an interception 25-yards for a touchdown, Jacob Touchton returned a fumble 15-yards for a touchdown, Bobby Lecates kicked 6 extra points, Sawyer Robinson recovered a fumble, Kevin Royce recorded 2 sacks, Carberry, Landon Mapstone, Wyatt Smith, and Tony Stats each recorded 1 sack, and Pollock caused 2 fumbles, for the Golden Knights.  The Golden Knights are currently ranked number 32 for District 3 Class AAA playoff consideration.  Only the top 16 teams qualify for the playoffs.  Cameron Lutz led the Cardinals rushing attack with 49-yards, followed by Jacob Leininger with 14, Garrett Lehman with 7, Jesse Levan with 5-yards, Austin Ney with 1-yard, and Geoff Kaufman and Colin Knoll with no yards each.  Quarterback Leininger attempted 6 passes and did not complete any for the Cardinals.

York-Adams Interscholastic Athletic Association (YAIAA) Division III action:

The Canners of Biglerville (6-3 overall, 5-1 league) defeated the Nighthawks of Hanover (8-1 overall, 5-1 league) 42-21 in league action, setting up their meeting with the Eagles of Bermudian Springs next week with at least a share of the Division II crown on the line as the Canners, the Eagles of Bermudian Springs, and the Nighthawks of Hanover are currently in a three way tie for the title.  Colton Sentz led the Canners rushing attack with 179-yards (including touchdowns of 23, 40, and 1-yards), followed by Dayne Showers with 91 (including touchdowns of 9 and 37-yards), Malakai Curtis with 10, Scott Cooper with 7-yards, and Ben Hurda with minus 7-yards (including a 3-yard touchdown).  Quarterback Hurda completed 9 of 12 passes for 95-yards, 1 for 31-yards to Nate Newberry, 3 for 30-yards to Cooper, 2 for 13-yards to Sentz, 2 for 11 yards to Gage McAuliffe, and 1 for 10-yards to Nick Bell, for the Canners.  Sentz kicked 6 extra points for the Canners.  The Canners are currently ranked number 7 for District 3 Class AA playoff consideration.  Only the top 8 teams qualify for the playoffs.  John Laughman led the Nighthawks rushing attack with 57-yards, followed by Deandre Kerr with 10, Resean Williams with 2-yards, Justin Barnes with no yards, and Kyle Krout with minus 21-yards.  Quarterback Krout completed 13 of 27 passes for 224-yards and 3 touchdowns, 2 for 87-yards to Williams (including an 80-yard touchdown), 4 for 57-yards to Bill Morris (including a 30-yard touchdown), 3 for 26-yards to Colton Ehrhart, 1 for 17-yards and a touchdown to Kerr, 1 for 16-yards to Barnes, 1 for 16-yards to Laughman, and1 for 5-yards to Austin Bryson, for the Nighthawks.  Krout threw a 2-point conversion pass to Barnes and Everett Kenworthy kicked 1 extra point for the Nighthawks.  The Nighthawks are currently ranked number 4 for District 3 Class AA playoff consideration.  Only the top 8 teams qualify for the playoffs.

The Eagles of Bermudian Springs (5-4 overall, 5-1 league) shut out the Thunderbolts of Littlestown (1-8 overall, 1-5 league) 35-0 in league action, setting up their meeting with the Canners of Biglerville next week with at least a share of the Division III crown on the line as Eagles, the Canners of Biglerville, and the Nighthawks of Hanover are currently in a three way tie for the title.  Ashton West led the Eagles rushing attack with 101-yards (including touchdowns of 1 and 100-yards), followed by Addison Wheeler with 78, Devon Hodgen with 60 (including touchdowns of 30 and 36-yards), Brenton Krebs with 33, Trenton Hull with 27, Ethan Frank with 12, Darren Beall with 2-yards, and Ben Egenrieder with 1-yard.  Quarterback Tristan Hoke completed 5 of 9 passes for 84-yards and 1 touchdown, 2 for 38-yards to Hodgen, 2 for 32-yards to West, and 1 for 14-yards and a touchdown to Quinton Nace, for the Eagles.  Noah Aeppli kicked 3 extra points, Hoke threw a 2-point conversion pass to Nace, and Trevor Grim intercepted 2 passes, for the Eagles.  The Eagles are currently ranked number 9 for District 3 Class AA playoff consideration.  Only the top 8 teams qualify for the playoffs.  Tyler Carr led the Thunderbolts rushing attack with 90-yards, followed by Wesley Storey with 50, Jose Ariza with 27, Andrew Matthews with 23, Cody Boyd with 4, Connor Geiman with 4-yards, Austin Watters with 1-yard, and Tanner Noble with minus 9-yards.  Quarterback Boyd completed 5 of 12 passes for 55-yards, 2 for 31-yards to Ben Snouffer, 2 for 13-yards to Jackson Hornbrook, and 1 for 11-yards to Trenton Hartlaub, for the Thunderbolts.  The Thunderbolts are currently ranked number 14 for District 3 Class AA playoff consideration.  Only the top 8 teams qualify for the playoffs.

The Fighting Irish of York Catholic (4-5 overall, 4-2 league) defeated the Knights of Fairfield (1-8 overall, 0-6 league) 59-14 in league action.  Jakkar Kinard led the Fighting Irish rushing attack with 273-yards (including 5 touchdowns for 3, 4, 5, 35, and 2-yards), followed by Dan Yokemick with 58 (including a 20-yard touchdown), Andrew Poison with 41, Sean Lamont with 38 (including a 1-yard touchdown), Luke Brennan with 22, and Steven Ream with 5 for 12-yards (including a 1-yard touchdown).  Quarterback Yokemick completed 7 of 12 passes for 142-yards and 1 touchdown, 2 for 71-yards to Brandon Creisher (including a 62-yard touchdown), 2 for 46-yards to Joe Bauhof, 2 for 19-yards to Brennan, and 1 for 6-yards to Nicholas Anzalone, for the Fighting Irish.  Brennan kicked 3 extra points and Yokemick threw a 2-point conversion pass to Bauhof for the Fighting Irish.  The Fighting Irish are currently ranked number 3 for District 3 Class A playoff consideration.  Only the top 4 teams qualify for the playoffs.  Aaron Moore led the Knights rushing attack with 16-yards, followed by Charlie Burnett and Matt Petrie with 11-yards each, and Darian Mort with minus 9-yards (including a 1-yard touchdown).  Quarterback Mort completed 15 of 24 passes for 250-yards and 1 touchdown, 9 for 202-yards to Moore (including a 77-yard touchdown), 4 for 27-yards to Petrie, and 2 for 21-yards to Burnett, for the Knights.  Mort kicked 2 extra points for the Knights.  The Knights are currently ranked number 9 for District 3 Class A playoff consideration.  Only the top 4 teams qualify for the playoffs.

The Squires of Delone Catholic (4-5 overall, 3-3 league) defeated the Spartans of York County Tech (2-7 overall, 1-5 league) 49-28 in league action.  Tavian Dorsey led the Squires rushing attack with 238-yards (including touchdowns of 8, 75, and 7-yards), followed by Ryan Hart with 47, Sean Sneeringer with 42 (including a 4-yard touchdown), Zachary Hart with 39 (including a 14-yard touchdown), Caden Rosenberry with 20, Logan Panzer with 9, Brian Shermeyer with 6-yards.  Quarterback Shermeyer completed 4 of 7 passes for 106-yards and 2 touchdowns, 2 for 76-yards to Dorsey (including a 59-yard touchdown), 1 for 24-yards Noah Katz, and 1 for 6-yards and a touchdown to Zachary Hart, for the Squires.  Brandon Hall kicked 5 extra points and Shermeyer threw a 2-point conversion pass to Katz for the Squires.  The Squires are currently ranked number 5 for District 3 Class A playoff consideration.  Only the top 4 teams qualify for the playoffs.  Isaiah Colon led the Spartans rushing attack 36-yards, followed by Damarius Wiggins with 25-yards (including a 5-yard touchdown), followed by Matt Rossi with 25 (including a 2-yard touchdown), Josh Matais with 17, Maurice James with 11-yards, and Ben Jackson with minus 3-yards.  Quarterback Wiggins completed 5 of 13 passes for 144-yards and 1 touchdown, 1 for 58-yards and a touchdown to James, 3 for 48-yards to Rossi, and 1 for 38-yards to Jordan Ray, for the Spartans.  Wiggins returned a fumble 43-yards for a touchdown and threw a 2-point conversion pass to Ray, and Rossi ran in for a 2-point conversion, for the Spartans.  The Spartans are currently ranked number 27 for District 3 Class AAAA playoff consideration.  Only the top 16 teams qualify for the playoffs.

Mid-Penn Conference action:

The Mid-Penn Colonial Division’s Polar Bears of Northern York (7-2 overall, 5-0 league) were defeated by the Mid-Penn Keystone Division’s Falcons of Lower Dauphin (8-1 overall, 4-1 league) 38-7 in non-league action.  George Hatalowich led the Falcons rushing attack with 116-yards (including touchdowns of 6, 13, and 8-yards), followed by Angel Cruz with 41 (including a 28-yard touchdown), Tommy Klock with 12 (including a 7-yard touchdown), Jackson Atkins with 11, Cole Etchberger with 8, Isaac Ray with 5, Brendan Shaffer with 4-yards, and Jarrod Smith with 1-yard.  Quarterback Klock completed 13 of 21 passes for 203-yards, 2 for 56-yards to Smith, 4 for 52-yards to Clay Spencer, 3 for 42-yards to Evan Morrill, 1 for 25-yards to Hatalowich, 1 for 16-yards to Skyler Swartz, 1 for 10-yards to Charlie Fies, and 1 for 2-yards to Will Bowen, for the Falcons.  Antonio Heredia kicked a 32-yard field goal and 5 extra points for the Falcons.  The Falcons are currently ranked number 5 for District 3 Class AAAA playoff consideration.  Only the top 16 teams qualify for the playoffs.  Robert Shelly led the Polar Bears rushing attack with 59-yards (including a 9-yard touchdown), followed by Curtis Robison with 35, Michael Kearney with 29, Justin Markle with 14-yards, and Steven Yurchison with 1-yard.  Quarterback Robison completed 3 of 13 passes for 22-yards, 2 for 16-yards to Andrew Swaisgood and 1 for 6-yards to Shelly, and Markle completed 1 pass for 17-yards to Joey Razzano, for the Polar Bears.  Aidan Alves kicked 1 extra point, Cale Walker recorded a sack, and Shelly and Swaisgood each defended a pass, for the Polar Bears.  The Polar Bears are currently ranked number 6 for District 3 Class AAA playoff consideration.  Only the top 16 teams qualify for the playoffs.

The Mid-Penn Keystone Division’s Patriots of Red Land (3-6 overall, 1-4 league) were defeated by the Crusaders of Bishop McDevitt (8-1 overall, 4-1 league) 41-14 in league action.  Michael Jones led the Crusaders rushing attack with 80-yards (including a 10-yard touchdown), followed by Matt Geiger with 17 (including a 22-yard touchdown), Tnyis with 14, Mustafa Blackston with 8, and Tayvon Bowers with 8-yards.  Quarterback Bowers completed 14 of 18 passes for 268-yards and 3 touchdowns, 7 for 169-yards to Kobay White (including touchdowns of 66 and 64-yards), 3 for 45-yards to Kevin Lenz, 2 for 40-yards to Bryce Hall (including a 25-yard touchdown), and 2 for 14-yards to Kyree Calli, for the Crusaders.  White returned a kickoff 99-yards for a touchdown, Jon Fonner kicked 3 extra points, and Bowers threw a 2-point conversion pass to Calli, for the Crusaders.  The Crusaders are currently ranked number 1 for District 3 Class AAA playoff consideration.  Only the top 16 teams qualify for the playoffs.  Justin Johnson led the Patriots rushing attack with 49-yards (including a 2-yard touchdown), followed by Kyle Campbell with minus 7-yards, Jake Radic with minus 13-yards, and Hunter Briner with minus 31-yards, as the Polar Bears were held to minus 2-yards rushing for the game.  Quarterback Radic completed 9 of 20 passes for 125-yards and 1 touchdown, 3 for 49-yards to Joe Crocenzi (including a 21-yard touchdown), 1 for 27-yards to Briner, 2 for 23-yards to Jaelyn Gaither, 2 for 18-yards to Zi Reevy, and 1 for 8-yards to Johnson, for the Patriots.  Chad Stout kicked 2 extra points for the Patriots.  The Patriots are currently ranked number 25 for District 3 Class AAA playoff consideration.  Only the top 16 teams qualify for the playoffs.
