District 3 Notes for York & Adams Counties – Week 10

York-Adams Interscholastic Athletic Association (YAIAA) Division I action:

The Mustangs of South Western (7-3 overall, 5-2 League) were defeated by the Rockets of Spring Grove (5-5 overall, 4-3 league) 28-21 in league action.  As the number 12 seed in the District 3 Class AAAA Playoff picture the Mustangs will visit the number 5 seed Lancaster-Lebanon League Section 1 Black Knights of Hempfield (8-3 overall, 5-2 league) Friday, November 13 at 7PM in the first round.  The Mustangs gained 249-yards rushing and 115-yards passing for a total of 364-yards of offense.  Senior quarterback Brock Geiman completed 10 of 15 passes for the 115-yards and 1 touchdown, 6 for 67-yards to Noah Staub, 1 for 21-yards to Miles Francis, 2 for 20-yards to Jeff Green (including a 14-yard touchdown), and 1 for 7-yards to Corbin Byers, for the Mustangs.  Geiman has completed 89 of 170 passes for 1,352-yards and 18 touchdowns for the season.  Mike Johnson led the Mustangs rushing attack with 17 carries for 121-yards, followed by Geiman with 5 for 29-yards (including touchdowns of 16 and 10-yards), Zach Hughes with 5 for 26-yards, Green with 3 for 25-yards, Tyler Fulmore with 3 for 21-yards, Robby Harbison with 5 for 18-yards, Francis with 3 carries for 10-yards, and a team loss of 1-yard.  Wes Sneeringer kicked 3 extra points, Fulmore recorded a sack for an 11-yard loss, Quan Marshall recorded a sack for a 3-yard loss, Byers recorded 3 pass hurries, Skylar Bowman recorded 2 pass hurries, and Nate VanCampen and Brandon Zumbrum each defended a pass, for the Mustangs.  The Rockets gained 21yards rushing and 259 yards passing for a total of 280 yards gained.  As the number 14 seed in the District 3 Class AAA Playoff picture the Rockets will visit the number 3 seed Lancaster-Lebanon League Section 2 Barons of Manheim Central (8-2 overall, 6-1 league) Friday, November 13 at 7PM in the first round.  Quarterback Jake Messersmith completed 19 of 24 passes for the 259-yards and 2 touchdowns, 5 for 102-yards to Brady Stein (including a 54-yard touchdown), 6 for 76-yards to Anthony Beddia, 3 for 51-yards to Adam Warehime (including a 16-yard touchdown), 2 for 16-yards to L.J. Chisolm, 2 for 10-yards to Nick Erickson, and 1 for 4-yards to Connor Reed, for the Rockets.  Nick Erickson led the Rockets rushing attack with 21 carries for 37-yards (including touchdowns of 12 and 1-yards), followed by L.J. Chisolm with 3 carries for 8-yards, Ryan Daugherty with 3carries for minus 3-yards, Anthony Beddia with 1 carry for minus 7-yards, and Messersmith with 1 carry for minus 14-yards.  Sensational senior kicker Andrew Luckenbaugh kicked 4 extra points, had touchbacks on all 5 kickoffs, and averaged 42.3-yards per punt for 3 punts, Daugherty intercepted a pass in the end zone, which he returned the length of the field for a supposed touchdown but an inadvertent whistle turned the play into a touchback, Warehime intercepted a pass, Connor Hildebrand recorded a sack for a loss of 8-yards, and Owen Jacobs recorded a sack for a loss of 5-yards, for the Rockets.

The Bobcats of Northeastern (8-2 overall, 5-2 league) defeated the Colonials of New Oxford (2-8 overall, 1-6 league) 45-7 in league action.  As the number 2 seed in the District 3 Class AAA Playoffs, the Bobcats will host the number 15 seed Lancaster-Lebanon League Section 3 Vikings of Northern Lebanon (8-2 overall, 6-0 league) on Friday, November 13 at 7PM.  Anu Johnson led the Bobcats rushing attack with 53-yards (including touchdowns of 2 and 6-yards), followed by Shannon Valenti, Jr. with 30, Fred Mulbah with 23, Jonathen Butler with 17, Wyatt Hughes with 16, Kody Reeser with 5-yards, Alex Seaforth with no yards, and David Ankney with minus 2-yards.  Quarterback Valenti, Jr. completed 6 of 13 passes for 169-yards and 3 touchdowns, 1 for 86-yards and a touchdown to Dezmend Wigginton, 2 for 51-yards to Ankney (including a 30-yard touchdown), and 3 for 32-yards to Jordan Zirkle (including a 7-yard touchdown), and Butler completed 1 of 2 passes for 11-yards to Seaforth, for the Bobcats.  Coby Motley returned a fumble 17-yards for a touchdown, Cameron Artman kicked 39-yard field goal and 4 extra points, Tate Lau tackled a runner in the end zone for a safety, recorded a pass hurry, and defended a pass, Justin Franklin caused a fumble and recovered a fumble, Mulbah intercepted a pass and returned it 10-yards, Hughes intercepted a pass and returned it 7-yards, Fernando Flores recorded a sack for a loss of 11-yards, Shamari Young recorded a sack for a loss of 5-yards, Adam Kipp defended a pass, and Reeser caused a fumble, for the Bobcats.  Corban Czap led the Colonials rushing attack with 35-yards, followed by Kyle West with 12, Elijah Myers with 10, Ferrious Ashford with 2-yards, Benjamin Rivera with minus 1-yard, and Trevon Brown with minus 12-yards.  Quarterback Czap completed 8 of 18 passes for 74-yards and 1 touchdown, 5 for 65-yards to Brown (including a 34-yard touchdown), 1 for 10-yards to Bret Saveleski, 1 for 1-yard to Aaron Becker, and 1 for minus 1-yard to Ashford, for the Colonials.  Luis Partida kicked 1 extra point for the Colonials.
The Lions of Red Lion (7-3 overall, 5-2 league) shut out the Wildcats of Dallastown (9-1 overall, 6-1 league) 26-0 in league action, although the Wildcats still got sole possession of the division title because Spring Grove defeated South Western.  As the number 11 seed in the Class AAAA District 3 Playoffs, the Lions will visit the number 6 seed Mid-Penn Commonwealth Division Eagles of Cumberland Valley (8-2 overall, 6-1 league) on Friday, November 13 at 7PM.  Alex Keough led the Lions rushing attack with 84-yards, followed by Patrick Daugherty with 34, Kendrick Boyd-Gillespie with 26 (including a 21-yard touchdown), Rodney Scott with 12, Dalton Grove with 11, James Jackson with 9, and Dylan Gurreri with 8-yards.  Quarterback Grove completed 7 of 11 passes for 154-yards and 2 touchdowns, 3 for 70-yards to Boyd-Gillespie (including a 56-yard touchdown), 1 for 30-yards and a touchdown to Jackson, 1 for 30-yards and a touchdown to Cole Snyder, 1 for 18-yards to Keough, and1 for 6-yards to Dillon Hildebrand, for the Lions.  Sam Emig kicked 2 extra points and Boyd-Gillespie intercepted a pass for the Lions.  As the number 7 seed in the Class AAAA District 3 Playoffs, the Wildcats will host the number 10 seed Mid-Penn Commonwealth Division Panthers of Central Dauphin East (6-4 overall, 4-3 league) on Friday, November 13 at 7PM.  Zion DeVance led the Wildcats rushing attack with 60-yards, followed by Edgar Centeno with 58, Jack Marks with 32, Michael Sparks with 31, Dillon Callahan with 22-yards, and Jakob Jansen with minus 10-yards.  Quarterback Sparks, filling in for the injured Cade Gold, completed 4 of 10 passes for 9-yards, 2 for 11-yards to Connor Moore, 1 for minus 1-yardto Nate Downey, and 1 for minus 1-yard to Jansen, for the Wildcats.

The Panthers of Central York (3-7 overall, 2-5 league) shut out the Bearcats of William Penn, York High, (0-10 overall, 0-7 league) 42-0 in league action.  As the number 17 seed in the District 3 Class AAAA Playoff picture the Panthers just missed out, as only the top 16 make the playoffs.  Noreaga Goff led the Panthers rushing attack with 86-yards (including a 72-yard touchdown), followed by Shyheim Goff with 65, Will VanDyke with 39, Chris Collins with 21, Cade Pribula with 16, Elzir Stroman with 3-yards (including a 3-yard touchdown), Sakai Barton with minus 2-yards, Nik Strine with minus 8-yards (including a 1-yard touchdown), and Corbin Chevaux with minus 9-yards.  Quarterback Strine completed 8 of 10 passes for 247-yards and 2 touchdowns, 4 for 178-yards to Brandon Falkenstein (including touchdowns of 83 and 66-yards), 1 for 41-yards to Barton, and 3 for 28-yards to Shyheim Goff, for the Panthers.  Drew Anderson returned an interception 98-yards for a touchdown, recovered a fumble, and defended a pass, Carter Luckenbaugh kicked 6 extra points, Devin Aloi recovered a fumble, Lionel Edoukou recorded a sack, caused a fumble, and defended a pass, Rodney Johnson recorded a sack and defended 2 passes, Nnaemeka Afunugo, Brennden Jenkins, and Kollin Vaught each recorded a sack, Jordan Bowie defended a pass, and David Gaffney recorded a pass hurry, for the Panthers.  Nykam Beverly led the Bearcats rushing attack with 156-yards, followed by Khalid Dorsey with 35, Andrew Radzik with 14, Nyshaun Ritter with 4-yards, Eric Mann with minus 2-yards, and Justin Colston with minus 4-yards.  Quarterback Colston completed 3 of 13 passes for 26-yards, 2 for 18-yards to Ritter and 1 for 8-yards to Andrew Gibbs, for the Bearcats.

York-Adams Interscholastic Athletic Association (YAIAA) Division II action:

The Trojans of York Suburban (8-2 overall, 6-0 league) defeated the Golden Knights of Eastern York (4-6 overall, 1-5 League) 30-7 in league action.  As the number 9 seed in the District 3 Class AAA Playoff picture the Trojans will visit the number 8 seed Mid-Penn Colonial Division’s Polar Bears of Northern York (7-3 overall, 5-1 league) November 13 at 7PM in the first round.   Thomas Merkle has completed 142 of 228 passes for 1,978-yards and 21-touchdowns for the season.  He has added to his school career passing yardage record, which now stands at 4,935-yards.  Merkle has set a new YAIAA career passing yardage record with his 5,286-yards, surpassing the record of 4,894-yards set by Matt Marshall from Spring Grove in 2006.  He has completed 166 of 260 passes for 2,346-yards and 24 touchdowns for this season to date.  Collin Mailman has set a new school career pass reception record with 110.  He has 54 receptions for 1,055-yardsuchdowns for this season to date.   Dajour Henderson and Teague Hoffman led the Trojans rushing attack with 9-yards each, followed by Thomas Merkle with 8 (including a 1-yard touchdown), Travis Edwards and Jadon Haynes with 3-yards each, and Justice Gettle with 1-yard, as the Trojans relied on their vaunted passing game and only rushed for 33-yards.  Quarterback Merkle completed 24 of 32 passes for 351-yards and 3 touchdowns, 8 for 111-yards to Collin Mailman (including a 33-yard touchdown), 4 for 108-yards to Haynes (including touchdowns of 20 and 68-yards), 3 for 30-yards to Colin Deardorf, 4 for 28-yards to Brad Smith, and 2 for 14-yards to Henderson, for the Trojans.  Jonas Atkinson kicked a 30-yard field goal and 3 extra points, Dustin Knaub recorded 10 tackles and 2 passes defended, and Mailman and Shane Robinson each defended a pass, for the Trojans.  Logan Klein led the Golden Knights rushing attack with 54-yards, followed by Sam Pollock with 43 (including a 1-yard touchdown), Ryan Kalke with 19, Jimmy Kurnik with 16, Shane Carberry with 14, Seth Bernstein with 11, and Brennan Shenk with 11-yards.  Quarterback Kalke completed 2 of 9 passes for 42-yards to Bernstein for the Golden Knights.  Bobby Lecates kicked 1 extra point for the Golden Knights.

The Bulldogs of West York (5-5 overall, 5-1 league) defeated the Warriors of Gettysburg (1-9 overall, 0-6 league) 52-14 in league action, giving the Bulldogs sole possession of the division title.  Ay’Juan Marshall led the Bulldogs rushing attack with 144-yards (including a 4-yard touchdown), followed by Anthony Kahley with 63, Ramell Baldwin with 34, Tyler Folk with 29 (including touchdowns of 1 and 16-yards Mason Bercik with a 25-yard touchdown run, Allen Stauffer with a 15-yard touchdown run, and Ryan Narber with 2-yards.  Quarterback Folk completed 5 of 12 passes for 150-yards, 2 for 77-yards to Terry Cains (including touchdowns of 38 and 39-yards), 2 for 29-yards to Thomas Bentzel, and 1 for 44-yards and a touchdown to Dante Dorm, for the Bulldogs.  Folk threw a 2-point conversion pass to Marshall, Evan Keim kicked 1 extra point, Darian McCauley kicked 1 extra point, and Narber intercepted a pass and returned it 66-yards, for the Bulldogs.  Edny Celius led the Warriors rushing attack with 50-yards, followed by Oakley Marsh with 26, Tyler Wilt with 17, Elijah Jackson with 11, and Bryce Newman with 7-yards.  Quarterback Wilt completed 18 of 39 passes for 139-yards and 2 touchdowns, 5 for 64-yards to Ravaughn Dillard (including a 13-yard touchdown), 4 for 28-yards to Jackson, 3 for 23-yards to Devin Ringler (including a 14-yard touchdown), 3 for 9-yards to Patrick Heidecker, 2 for 8-yards to Tyler Kiser, and 1 for 7-yards to Celius, for the Warriors.  Adam Yingling kicked 2 extra points for the Warriors.

The Warriors of Susquehannock (5-5 overall, 4-2 League) defeated the Eagles of Dover (4-6 overall, 3-3 league) 44-13 in league action.  Myles Moultrie led the Warriors rushing attack with 138-yards (including touchdowns of 10 and 22-yards), followed by Kevin Clapp with 31 (including a 1-yard touchdown), Jack Allred with 15, Brent Hofler with 8, Kyle Orndorff with 4, Josh Stoneberg with 2-yards, and Ben Trego with no yards.  Quarterback Stoneberg, who finished the season with 1,363-yards passing, completed 6 of 12 passes for 147-yards and 2 touchdowns, 3 for 100-yards to Nick Tannura (including a 66-yard touchdown), and 3 for 47-yards to Dorian Faster (including a 23-yard touchdown), for the Warriors.  Faster returned an interception 45-yards for a touchdown and Adam Hedgeland kicked 4 extra points for the Warriors, who also registered a safety and a 2-point conversion.  Durran Ledbetter led the Eagles rushing attack with 186-yards (including touchdowns of 1 and 54-yards), followed by Cole Jesmer with 1-yard, Tyler Blazosky with minus 8-yards, and Tad Pequignot with minus 17-yards.  Quarterback Blazosky completed 3 of 8 passes for 33-yards and quarterback Pequignot completed 2 of 11 passes for 31-yards, for the Eagles.  Jesmer caught 1 pass for 20-yards, Amari Peterson caught 1 pass for 20-yards, Caden Snyder caught 2 passes for 16-yards, and Ledbetter caught 1 pass for 6-yards, for the Eagles.  Josh Bradley kicked a 1 extra point for the Eagles.

Rams of Kennard-Dale (3-7overall, 2-4 league) were edged by the Tri-Valley League’s Indians of Millersburg (6-4 overall, 5-3 league) 7-6 in non-league action.  As the number 4 seed in the District 3 Class A Playoff picture the Indians will visit the number 1 seed Mid-Penn Capital Division’s Lions of Camp Hill (9-1 overall, 6-1 league) November 20 at 7PM in the first round.  Tylor Erdman led the Indians rushing attack with 136-yards (including a 19-yard touchdown), followed by Cole Shomper with 32, Austin Lehman with 11, and Christian Wingard with 11-yards.  Quarterback Wingard completed 9 of 19 passes for 59-yards, 4 for 33-yards to Lehman, 1 for 12-yards to Shomper, 1 for 9-yards to Hunter Grexon, 1 for 7-yards to Logan Marshall, 1 for 1-yard to Erdman, and 1 for minus 3-yards to Lehman, for the Indians.  Wingard kicked 1 extra point, Lehman intercepted a pass, Austin Hoke recovered a fumble, Matthew Koppenhaver recorded a sack for a loss of 2-yards and caused a fumble, Shomper recorded a sack for a loss of 2-yards, and Erdman caused a fumble, for the Indians.  Chase Carlile led the Rams rushing attack with137-yards (including a 55-yard touchdown), followed by Nicholas Workinger with 31, Austin Orr with 18, Austin Jenkins with 16, Nicholas Fritz with 7, Dan Brewer with 3-yards, and Bryan McCreary with 1-yard.  Quarterback Brewer completed 5 of 12 passes for 68-yards, 2 for 43-yards to Carlile, 1 for 20-yards to Fritz, and 2 for 5-yards to Kyle Wooldridge, for the Rams.

York-Adams Interscholastic Athletic Association (YAIAA) Division III action:

The Nighthawks of Hanover (9-1 overall, 6-1 league) defeated the Squires of Delone Catholic (4-6 overall, 3-4 league) defeated the 45-20 in league action, giving them a share of the division title along with the Canners of Biglerville.  As the number 4 seed in the District 3 Class AA Playoff picture the Nighthawks will host the number 5 seed Canners of Biglerville (7-3 overall, 6-1 league) on November 13 at 7PM in the first round.  Jordan Laughman led the Nighthawks rushing attack with 166-yards (including a 9-yard touchdown)), followed by Justin Barnes with 66 (including a 20-yard touchdown), Deandre Kerr with 64 (including touchdowns of 55 and 2-yards), Kyle Krout with 23-yards (including a 12-yard touchdown), Nick Kime with 1-yard, and Logan Brown with no yards.  Quarterback Krout completed 10 of 20 passes for 143-yards and 2 touchdowns, 1 for 32-yards and a touchdown to Bill Morris, 82 for 29-yards to Colton Ehrhart, 2 for 28-yards to Nick Seymour, 3 for 27-yards to Resean Williams, 1 for 23-yards to Barnes, and 1 for 5-yards and a touchdown to Hunter Martz, for the Nighthawks.  Everett Kenworthy kicked 3 extra points for the Nighthawks.  Brian Shermeyer led the Squires rushing attack with 61-yards, followed by Zachary Hart with 65 (including a 57-yard touchdown), Tavian Dorsey with 50-yards, Ryan Malinowski with 4, Sean Sneeringer with 3, Logan Panzer with 1-yard, and Ryan Hart with no yards.  Quarterback Shermeyer completed 12 of 27 passes for 142-yards and 1 touchdown, 8 for 87-yards to Dorsey (including a 21-yard touchdown), 1 for 31-yards to Cody Pfaff, 2 for 12-yards to Ryan Hart, and 1 for 12-yards to Panzer, for the Squires.  Bryce Perkins returned an interception 25-yards for a touchdown and Brandon Hall kicked 2 extra points for the Squires.

The Canners of Biglerville (7-3 overall, 6-1 league) edged the Eagles of Bermudian Springs (5-5 overall, 5-2 league) 17-14 in league action, giving the Canners a share of the division title along with the Nighthawks of Hanover.  As the number 5 seed in the District 3 Class AA Playoff picture the Canners will visit the number 4 seed Nighthawks of Hanover (9-1 overall, 6-1 league) on November 13 at 7PM in the first round.  Colton Sentz led the Canners rushing attack with 36-yards, followed by Dayne Showers with 32 (including a 5-yard touchdown), Scott Cooper with 2-yards, and Ben Hurda with minus 3-yards (including a 2-yard touchdown).  Quarterback Hurda completed 12 of 27 passes for 209-yards, 5 for 102-yards to Gage McAuliffe, 3 for 35-yards to Nate Newberry, 2 for 35-yards to Showers, 1 for 24-yards to Cooper, and 1 for 13-yards to Sentz, for the Canners.  Sentz kicked a game winning 35-yard field goal with 8 seconds left in the game, and 2 extra points, for the Canners.  Ashton West led the Eagles rushing attack with 76-yards, followed by Devon Hodgen with 49, Ethan Frank with 17-yards, and Tristan Hoke with minus 7-yards.  Quarterback Hoke completed 7 of 13 passes for 179-yards and 1 touchdown, 5 for 86-yards to Hodgen, 1 for 74-yards and a touchdown to Brandon Jackson, and 1 for 19-yards to West, for the Eagles.  Noah Aeppli kicked 2 extra points for the Eagles.

The Fighting Irish of York Catholic (5-5 overall, 5-2 league) defeated the Spartans of York County Tech (2-8 overall, 1-6 league) 56-8 in league action.  As the number 3 seed in the District 3 Class A Playoff picture the Fighting Irish will visit the number 2 seed Mid-Penn Capital Division Steamrollers of Steelton-Highspire (4-5 overall, 3-3 league) on November 20 at 7PM in the first round.  Jakkar Kinard led the Fighting Irish rushing attack with 110-yards (including a 2-yard touchdown), followed by Daniel Yokemick with 50 (including touchdowns of 10, 1, and 19-yards), Andrew Snelbaker with 11, Brandon Creisher with 10-yards, Manuel Montes with 1-yard, and Massimo Antolick with no yards.  Quarterback Yokemick completed 8 of 12 passes for 166-yards and 2 touchdowns, 3 for 75-yards to Joe Bauhof (including a 28-yard touchdown), 3 for 55-yards to Brennan (including a 43-yard touchdown), and 2 for 36-yards to Creisher, and Kyle Dormer completed 1 of 2 passes for 16-yards and a touchdown to Bauhof, for the Fighting Irish.  Jarred Kohl recovered a fumble and returned it 30-yards for a touchdown, Yokemick threw a 2-point conversion pass to Creisher and a 2-point conversion pass to Nicholas Anzalone, and Luke Brennan kicked 4 extra points, for the Fighting Irish.  Matthew Rossi led the Spartans rushing attack with 64-yards, followed by Isaiah Colon with 29, Devin McDonald with 14, Damarius Wiggins with 9, and Josh Matias with 9-yards.  Quarterback Wiggins completed 6 of 14 passes for 86-yards and 1 touchdown, 3 for 66-yards to Maurice James (including a 60-yard touchdown), 1 for 14-yards to Cedric Baldwin, and 2 for 6-yards to Rossi, for the Spartans.  Wiggins ran in for a 2-point conversion for the Spartans.

The Thunderbolts of Littlestown (2-8 overall, 2-5 league) defeated the Knights of Fairfield (1-9 overall, 0-7 league) 72-36 in league action.  Wesley Storey led the Thunderbolts rushing attack with 324-yards (including 4 touchdowns, for 1, 50, and 86-yards), followed by Jose Ariza with 81 (including a 13-yard touchdown), Austin Waters with 36 (including touchdowns of 6 and 7-yards), Tyler Carr with 32 (including an 11-yard touchdown), Cody Boyd with 20 (including a 1-yard touchdown), Andrew Matthews with 18, Dylan Morey with 14, Colin McNeal with 10-yards (including a 1-yard touchdown), and a team loss of 2-yards.  Quarterback Boyd completed 2 of 3 passes for 72-yards, 1 for 55-yards to Jackson Hornbrook and 1 for 17-yards to Ariza, for the Thunderbolts.  Storey returned a kickoff 90-yards for a touchdown, the Thunderbolts recorded a safety when the ball was snapped through the end zone by the Knights, Alex Potts kicked 10 extra points, Dylan Morey recovered a fumble, and Dylan Styles recorded 2 sacks, for the Thunderbolts.  Darian Mort led the Knights rushing attack with 61-yards (including a 5-yard touchdown), followed by Charlie Burnett with 17 (including a 5-yard touchdown), Tyler Karstetter with 17, Matt Petrie with 17-yards, and a team loss of 2-yards.  Quarterback Mort completed 15 of 30 passes for 257-yards and 3 touchdowns, 7 for 107-yards to Petrie, 5 for 95-yards to Aaron Moore (including touchdowns of 37 and 24-yards), 1 for 34-yards and a touchdown to Burnett, 1 for 17-yards to Daniel Miller, and 1 for 4-yards to Trystan Griffin, for the Knights.  Mort threw a 2-point conversion pass to Moore and kicked 4 extra points for the Knights.

The Mid-Penn Colonial Division’s Polar Bears of Northern York (7-3 overall, 5-1 league) were defeated by the Panthers of East Pennsboro (8-2 overall, 6-0 league) 28-7 in league action.  As the number 6 seed in the District 3 Class AAA Playoff picture the Panthers will host the number 11 seed Mid-Penn Capital Division Blue Raiders of Middletown (7-3 overall, 5-2 league) on November 13 at 7PM in the first round.  Onasis Neely led the Panthers rushing attack with 142-yards (including a 2-yard touchdown), followed by Ky Dennis with 33 (including a 1-yard touchdown), Kyle Purnell with 15 (including a 3-yard touchdown), and Matthew Danner with 12-yards.  Quarterback Purnell completed 7 of 11 passes for 71-yards and 1 touchdown, 2 for 27-yards to Zach Wertz (including a 16-yard touchdown), 22 for 11-yards to Neely, 1 for 11-yards to Matthew Dunkelberger, 1 for 10-yards to Dennis, and 1 for 9-yards to Justin Gieseler, for the Panthers.  Noah Wilk kicked 4 extra points for the Panthers.  As the number 8 seed in the District 3 Class AAA Playoff picture the Patriots will host the number 9 seed YAIAA Division II Trojans of York Suburban (8-2 overall, 6-0 league) on November 13 at 7PM in the first round.  Michael Kearney led the Polar Bears rushing attack with 77-yards (including a 2-yard touchdown), followed by Bobby Shelly with 35, Curtis Robison with 11, and John Kearney with 5-yards.  Quarterback Robison completed 11 of 17 passes for 72-yards, 4 for 19-yards to Jake Cromer, 2 for 16-yards to Justin Markle, 1 for 13-yards to Joey Razzano, 1 for 12-yards to Shelly, 2 for 9-yards to John Kearney, and 1 for 3-yards to Jared Sutch, for the Polar Bears.  Aidan Alves kicked 1 extra point for the Polar Bears.

The Mid-Penn Keystone Division’s Patriots of Red Land (3-7 overall, 1-5 league) were defeated by the Colts of Cedar Cliff (8-2 overall, 4-2 league) 56-34 in league action.  As the number 9 seed in the District 3 Class AAAA Playoff picture the Colts will play the number 8 seed Mid-Penn Keystone Division Falcons of Lower Dauphin (8-2 overall, 4-2 league) at Hersheypark Stadium on November 13 at 7PM in the first round.  Jayden Demmy led the Colts rushing attack with 327-yards (including 4 touchdowns, for 5, 7, 5 and 6-yards), followed by Chris Thompson with 31 (including a 2-yard touchdown), and Grant Breneman with 28-yards.  Quarterback Breneman completed 12 of 21 passes for 161-yards and 3 touchdowns, 4 for 49-yards to Demmy (including a 30-yard touchdown), 4 for 41-yards to Mike Viti (including a 15-yard touchdown), 2 for 40-yards to Bobby Whalen, 2 for 20-yards to Ryan Schoppert (including a 5-yard touchdown), and 1 for 11-yards to Trysten McDonald, for the Colts.  Reed Bertram kicked 8 extra points and Manny De Los Santos intercepted a pass and returned it about 55-yards for the Colts.  Justin Johnson led the Patriots rushing attack with 143-yards (including a 6-yard touchdown), followed by Hunter Briner with 11-yards, and Jake Radic with minus 6-yards.  Quarterback Radic completed 15 of 33 passes for 188-yards and 4 touchdowns, 7 for 93-yards to Briner (including touchdowns of 3, 21, and 16-yards), 2 for 32-yards to Joe Crocenzi, 3 for 31-yards to Zi Reevy (including a 9-yard touchdown), 2 for 29-yards to Jaelyn Gaither, and 1 for 3-yards to Jake Yentzer, and Briner threw a 53-yard pass to Reevey, for the Patriots.  Chad Stout kicked 4 extra points for the Patriots.
