District 3 Notes for York & Adams Counties – Week 1

York-Adams Interscholastic Athletic Association (YAIAA) Action:

The YAIAA’s Division I Mustangs of South Western defeated the Division II Warriors of Gettysburg 38-13.  The passing duo of quarterback Brock Geiman and receiver Noah Staub hook up for a74-yard touchdown pass on the first play from scrimmage and the Mustangs never looked back.  The Mustangs gained 219-yards rushing and 211-yards passing for a total of 430-yards of offense. Senior quarterback Brock Geiman completed 8 of 12 passes for the 211-yards and 2 touchdowns, 4 for 141-yards to Noah Staub (including touchdowns of 74 and 11-yards), 2 for 48-yards to Corbin Byers, 1 for 17-yards to Matt Smolko, and 1 for 5-yards to Zach Hughes, for the Mustangs.  DeSean Crump led the Mustangs rushing attack with 3 carries for 75, followed by Nigel Williams with 3 for 63-yards (including a 42-yard touchdown), Tyler Fulmore with 6 for 23-yards (including a 1-yard touchdown), Jeff Green with 2 for 19-yards (including a 19-yard touchdown), Thaddeus Davis with 2 for 17-yards, Muir with 3 for 13-yards, Drew Hartlaub with 3 for 9-yards, Carson Perry with 1 for 1-yard, and Geiman with 2 for minus 1-yard.  Wes Sneeringer kicked a 34-yard field goal and 5 extra points, Drew Hartlaub intercepted 1 pass and defended1 pass, Jeff Green intercepted 1 pass, Tyler Fulmore recovered 1 fumble and defended 1 pass, Corbin Byers recorded 1 sack for a 21-yard loss, Josh Zeroth recorded 1sack for a 3-yard loss, and Quan Marshall recorded 1 sack for a 2-yard loss, for the Mustangs.  The Gettysburg Warriors rang up 141-yards rushing and 104-yards passing for a total of 245-yards gained.  Quarterback Tyler Wilt completed 7 of 16 passes for the 104-yards, 2 for 43-yards to Tyson Sherman, 2 for 37-yards to Patrick Heidecker, 2 for 12-yards to Devin Ringler, and 1 for 12-yards to Elijah Jackson, for the Warriors.  Jackson led the Warriors rushing attack with 6 carries for 66-yards (including a 9-yard touchdown), followed by Marquise Camel with 3 for 27 (including a 5-yard touchdown), Edney Celius with 6 for 23, Kahlil Hill with 9 for 12, Bryce Newman with 2 for 7, and Wilt with 8 carries for 6-yards.  Isaac Myers kicked 1 extra point for the Warriors.

The YAIAA’s Division I Panthers of Central York edged the Division II Bulldogs of West York 31-28 in a donnybrook that ended with a 16-yard touchdown pass from Nik Strine to Sakai Barton with 43 seconds left in the game. Shyheim Goff led the Panther rushing attack with 49-yards, followed by Nik Strine with 14 (including a 15-yard touchdown), Elzir Stroman with 5-yards, and Justin Paneto with 1-yard.  Quarterback Strine completed 12 of 22 passes for 225-yards and 3 touchdowns, 3 for 112-yards to Barton (including that 16-yard touchdown), 2 for 44-yards to Corbin Chevaux, 1 for 30-yards and a touchdown to Goff, 1 for 19-yards to Brandon Falkenstein, 1for 16-yards and a touchdown to Shawn Johnston, and 1 for 4-yards to Stroman, for the Panthers.  Carter Luckenbaugh kicked 4 extra points and a 23-yard field goal, Brennden Jenkins recovered a fumble and recorded 3 sacks and 2 pass hurries, Nnaemeka Afunugo recorded 1 sack and 1 pass hurry, Barton intercepted 1 pass and defended 2 passes, Kollin Vaught intercepted 1 pass and defended 1 pass, and Rodney Johnson defended 2 passes and caused 1 fumble, and Todd Horner caused 1fumble, for the Panthers.  Cadence Thomas led the Bulldogs rushing attack with 118-yards, followed by Tyler Folk with 53 (including touchdowns of 7 and 1-yards), Ryan Narber with 34 (including a 2-yard touchdown), and Ramell Baldwin with no yards.  Quarterback Folk completed 12 of 23 passes for 183-yards and 1 touchdown, 2 for 83-yards to Dante Dorm, 2 for 33-yards to Mike Messersmith, 1 for 29-yards to Thomas Bentzel, 2 for 16-yards to Terry Cains (including an 8-yard touchdown, 2 for 13-yards to Baldwin, 1 for 5-yards to Thomas, 1 for 4-yards to Narber, and 1 for no yards to Anthony Kahley.  Evan Keim kicked 4 extra points for the Bulldogs.

The YAIAA’s Division I Wildcats of Dallastown defeated the Lancaster-Lebanon League’s Section 2 Crusaders of Lancaster Catholic 26-14.  Cade Gold led the Wildcats rushing attack with 120-yards (including touchdowns of 79 and 5-yards), followed by Zion DeVance with 49, Dillon Callahan with 33, Jack Marks with 9 (including a 1-yard touchdown), and Connor Green with 5-yards.  Quarterback Gold completed 10 of 21 passes for 123-yards and 1 touchdown, 3 for 67-yards to Jawaun McMillian (including a 22-yard touchdown), 5 for 53-yards to Jakob Jansen, 1 for 2-yards to Kyle Kline, and 1 for 1-yard to Drake Fleet, for the Wildcats.  Anthony Garcia kicked 2 extra points and DeVance recovered a fumble for the Wildcats.  Bryan Downey led the Crusaders rushing attack with 50-yards, followed by Kurt Harnish with 15-yards, and Andrew Bertz with minus 3-yards. Quarterback Downey completed 21 of 36 passes for 277-yards and 2 touchdowns, 4 for 109-yards to Bertz (including a 76-yard touchdown), 4 for 36-yards to Josh Houser, 4 for 42-yards to Ricky Pollon, 5 for 63-yards to Christian Sweigert (including a 14-yard touchdown), 2 for 13-yards to Andrew Kirchner, 1for 7-yards to Thomas Jimenez, and 1 for 7-yards to Quincy Clark, for the Crusaders.  Connor Rathsam kicked 2 extra points for the Crusaders.

The YAIAA’s Division I Lions of Red Lion defeated the Mid-Penn Keystone Division’s Trojans of Hershey 42-20.  Alex Keough led the lions rushing attack with 142-yards and 1 touchdown, followed by Dylan Gurreri with 91-yards, Dalton Gove with 60-yards and 2 touchdowns, and Jamal Foster with 5-yards.  Quarterback Grove completed 11 of 19 passes for 117-yards and 3 touchdowns, 5 for 66-yards and 2 touchdowns to Kendrick Boyd-Gillespie, 2 for 45-yards and a touchdown to Alex Keough, and 1 for 6-yards to Dylan Gurreri, and Sam Emig completed 1 pass to Dennis Dennison, for the Lions.  Emig kicked4 extra points for the Lions.  The Lions will wear helmet decals all season to honor Stone Hill and Nick Mankin, football players who died in a car crash this summer.  No other information was known about this game.

The YAIAA’s Division I Colonials of New Oxford edged the Division III Eagles of Bermudian Springs 24-21.  Josh Shultz led the Colonials rushing attack with 97-yards (including touchdowns of 1, 7, and 12-yards), followed by Corban Czap with 42, Trevon Brown with 27, Issac Siegman with 5-yards, and Elijah Myers with 1-yard.  Quarterback Czap completed 5 of 10 passes for 56-yards, 2 for 26-yards to Shane Rolle, 2for 17-yards to Bret Savaleski, and 1 for 13-yards to Brown, for the Colonials.  Luis Partida kicked a 27-yard field goal as time ran out to win the game, and 1 extra point, for the Colonials.  The Colonials also recorded a safety when a snap went over the punter’s head and fell in the end zone.  Chase Dull led the Eagles rushing attack with 130-yards (including a 24-yard touchdown), followed by Quinton King with 10-yards, and Noah Aeppli with minus 56-yards.  Quarterback Tristan Hoke completed 1 of 6 passes for 7-yards to Dull for the Eagles.  Aeppli kicked 3 extra points for the Eagles.

The YAIAA’s Division I Bobcats of Northeastern defeated the Division III Fighting Irish of York Catholic 40-7.  Çhris Whack led the Bobcats rushing attack with 88-yards (including a 4-yard touchdown), followed by Anu Johnson with 64 (including a 2-yard touchdown), Shannon Valenti, Jr. with 60 (including touchdowns of 14 and 4-yards), Kody Reeser with 50, David Ankney with 17 (including a 9-yardtouchdown), Michael Cooper with 16, Wyatt Hughes with 4-yards, and Blake Ensig with minus 2-yards.  Quarterback Valenti, Jr. completed 9 of 15 passes for 140-yards and 1 touchdown, 1 for 53-yards to Dezmend Wigginton (including a 53-yard touchdown), 1 for 23-yards to Jonathen Butler, 2 for 22-yards to Jordan Zirkle, 2 for 18-yards to Ankney, 2 for 13-yards to Taemar Willis, and 1 for 11-yards Whack, for the Bobcats.  Cameron Artman kicked 4 extra points, Kody Reeser intercepted 1 pass and returned it for 27-yards and a touchdown, Gary Gobernik intercepted 1 pass and returned it for 36-yards, Fernando Flores recorded 10 tackles (including 2 sacks) and 4 pass hurries, Rehn Williams recorded a half sack Fred Mulbak blocked a punt, for the Bobcats.  Jakkar Kinard led the Fighting Irish rushing attack with 95-yards, followed by Sean Lamont with 14, Andrew Poison with 11, and Daniel Yokemick with 11-yards.  Quarterback Yokemick completed 6 of 15 passes for 71-yards and 1 touchdown, 2 for 30-yards to Joseph Bauhof, 1 for 22-yards and a touchdown to Kinard, 2 for 11-yards to Brandon Creisher, and 1 for 8-yards to Luke Brennan, for the Fighting Irish.  Brennan kicked 1extra point for the Fighting Irish.

The YAIAA’s Division I Bearcats of William Penn (York High) were shut out by the Berks Inter-County 1 Red Knights of Reading 36-0.  Jason Crawford led the Red Knights rushing attack with 102-yards (including a 79-yard touchdown), followed by Jai Whitolock with 98 (including an 8-yard touchdown), Khary Mauras with 85, Kirk Boston with 42, Elisiah Bayne with 40 (including touchdowns of 1 and 4-yards), Kristan Diaz-Cruz with 34-yards, Kelvin Toro with minus1 1-yard, and Isiah Giddens with minus2-yards.  Boston completed 1 pass for 72-yards to Mauras and quarterback Bayne completed 1 of 2 passes for 22-yards Mauras for the Red Knights.  Austin Jackson recovered fumble and returned it 53-yardsf or a touchdown for the Red Knights.  Napoleon Snellings led the Bearcats rushing attack with 32-yards, followed by Andrew Radzik with 22, Angel DeJesus with 13, Markeis Cash with 4, and Jose Santiago-Curet with 4-yards.  Quarterback Snellings completed 3 of 7 passes for 15-yards and 1 Santiago-Cruz completed 3 of13 passes for 10-yards for the Bearcats.  Radzik caught 2 passes for 9-yards, Cash caught 1 pass for 9-yards, William Barton caught 2 passes for 7-yards, and Nyshaun Ritter caught 1 pass for 1-yard, for the Bearcats.

The YAIAA’s Division I Rockets of Spring Grove were shut out by the Mid-Penn’s Commonwealth Division Eagles of Cumberland Valley 33-0.  Nicholas Rhodes led the Eagles rushing attack with 70-yards, followed by Connor Long with 70, Kier Miner with 38, Joey Heikel with 22, Tyler Sunday with 15, Colby Pearson with 14-yards, Josh Ferguson with minus 3-yards, and Ridge Bachman with minus 9-yards.  Quarterback Ferguson completed 6of 9passesfor 79-yards and 1 touchdown, 3 for 54-yards to Long (including an 11-yard touchdown), 2for 17-yardsto Charles Kashir, and 1 for 8-yards to Miner, for the Eagles.  Long kicked 3 extra points and Cole Cline recorded a sack for the Eagles.  Nick Erickson led the Rockets rushing attack with 21-yards, followed by LJ Chisolm with 5, Ian Slaven with 4-yards, and Jake Messersmith with minus 13-yards.  Quarterback Messersmith completed 16 of 26 passes for 143-yards, 3 for 60-yards to Anthony Beddia, 5 for 47-yards to Chisolm, 2 for 18-yards to Erickson, 4 for 12-yardsto Brady Stein, 1 for 4-yards to Slaven, and 1 for 4-yards to Adam Wareheim, for the Rockets.

The YAIAA’s Division II Eagles of Dover defeated the Mid-Penn Colonial Division’s Greyhounds of Shippensburg 42-17.  Durran Ledbetter led the Eagles rushing attack with 106-yards (including a 23-yard touchdown), followed by Brett Mohn with 73 (including a 2-yard touchdown), Tyler Blazosky with 35 (including a1-yard touchdown), Joey Zutell with 31, John Sterner with 4, William Tomes with 3-yards, Tad Pequignot with no-yards, and Cole Jesmer with minus 1-yard.  Quarterback Blazosky completed 8 of 14 passes for 136-yards and 1 touchdown, 2 for 47-yards to Mohn, 2 for 26-yards to Pequignot (including a 20-yardtouchdown), 2 for 25-yards to Derek Breneman, 1 for 21-yards to Ledbetter, and 1 for 17-yards to Zutell, for the Eagles.  Breneman recovered 2 fumbles and returned them for touchdowns of 41 and 6-yards, Ledbetter ran in for a 2-point conversion, and Josh Bradley kicked 4 extra points, for the Eagles.  Cole Friese led the Greyhounds rushing attack with 15-yards, followed by Adam Houser with 1-yard, and Tyler Gustafson with minus 10-yards.  Quarterback Gustafson completed 19 of 42 passes for 271-yards and 2 touchdowns, 9 for 138-yards to his brother, Cody Gustafson, 6 for 97-yards to Wade Mills (including touchdowns of 37 and 4-yards), 1 for 14-yards to Carter VanSycoc, 2 for 12-yards to Friese, and 1 for 10-yards to Houser, for the Greyhounds.  Jackson VanHorne kicked a 28-yard field goal and 2 extra points for the Greyhounds.

The YAIAA’s Division II Golden Knights of Eastern York shut out the Lancaster-Lebanon League’s Section 3 Crimson Tide of Columbia 24-0.  Keegan Corwell led the Golden Knights rushing attack with 147-yards (including a 1-yard touchdown), followed by Logan Kline with 38, Sam Pollock with 11 (including a 4-yard touchdown), Seth Bernstein with 6, Ryan Kalke with 4-yards (including a 3-yard touchdown), and Brennen Shenk with no yards.  Quarterback Kalke completed 3of 3 passes for 18-yards and 1 touchdown, 1 for 10-yards and a touchdown to Dylan Pruger, 1 for 6-yards to Kline, and 1 for 2-yards to Pollock, for the Golden Knights.  Wyatt Smith recovered a fumble and recorded a sack, Conner Barshinger recovered a fumble, and Pollock recorded a sack, for the Golden Knights.  Meliek Crenshaw led the Crimson Tide rushing attack with 13-yards, followed by Anthony Rodriguez with 10, Edwin Ramos with 6, Javon McIntyre with 3, Dominic Sierra with 2-yards, Jaden Vazquez with 1-yard, and Tyler Harman with minus 1-yard.  Quarterback Crenshaw completed 4 of 6 passes for 43-yards and Corey completed 4 of 7 passes for 27-yards, for the Crimson Tide.  Tyreese Musser caught 3 passes for 39-yards, McIntyre caught 3 passes for 16-yards, Harman caught 1 pass for 13-yards, and Vazquez caught 1 pass for 2-yards for the Crimson Tide.

The YAIAA’s Division II Rams of Kennard-Dale were defeated by the 3A Conference Little Giants of Waynesboro 60-28.  Brady Beckner led the Little Giant rushing attack with 99-yards, followed by Aiden Smith with 23, Jake Wertz with 19, Mason Frampton with 14, and Brady Riddell with 2-yards (including a touchdown).  Quarterback Riddell completed 11 of 24 passes or 280-yards and 3 touchdowns, 5 for 192-yards to Charlie Patterson (including touchdowns of 55 and 32-yards), 3 for 64-yards to Beckner, 1 for 15-yards to Cameron Keck, and 2 for 9-yards to Matt Peck (including a 5-yard touchdown) for the Little Giants.  Brandon Baer returned a kickoff 85-yards for a touchdown, and he returned a fumble 76-yards for a touchdown, Anthony Garland recovered a fumble in the end zone for a touchdown, and George Souders kicked 6 extra points, for the Indians.   Nick Workinger led the Rams rushing attack with 99-yards (including a 20-yardtouchdown) followed by Chase Carlile with 37, Shawn Ellis with 8, Austin Jenkins with 7, Nick Fritz with 3-yards, Mark Hushon with 1-yard, Jacob Deppen with minus 1-yard, and Dalton Stike with minus 53-yards.  Quarterback Stike completed 10 of 18 passes for 222-yards and 3 touchdowns, 8 for 205-yards to Kyle Woolridge (including touchdowns of 7,61, and 74-yards), and 2 for 17-yardsto Carlile, for the Rams.  Austin Jenkins kicked a 33-yard field goal and 1extra point for the Rams.

The YAIAA’s Division II Warriors of Susquehannock were defeated by the Mid-Penn Colonial Division’s Polar Bears of Northern York 38-14.  Michael Kearney led the Polar Bears rushing attack with 140-yards (including touchdowns of 1 and 3-yards), followed by Bobby Shelly with 113 (including a 10-yard touchdown), Jake Cromer with 625, Justin Markle with 13, Curtis Robison with 8, Hunter Hrinda with 5, and Joshua Fekete with 3-yards.  Quarterback Robinson completed 2 of 4 passes for 29-yards and 1 touchdown, 1 to Andrew Swaisgood for 25-yards and a touchdown and 1 to Cromer for 4-yards, and Justin Markle completed 1 of 2 passes for 20-yards and a touchdown to Swaisgood, for the Polar Bears. Jake Coover kicked a 31-yard field goal and 5 extra points, Noah Smith recovered 1 fumble, and Austin Miller, Gunnar Renninger, and Cale Walker each recorded a sack, for the Polar Bears.  Josh Stoneberg led the Warriors rushing attack with 42-yards, followed by Dorian Faster with 32, Myles Moultrie with 27, and Kevin Clapp with 26-yards.  Quarterback Stoneberg completed 7 of10 passes for 164-yards and 1 touchdown, 5 for124-yards to Nick Tannura (including a 75-yard touchdown), and 2 for 40-yards to Faster, for the Warriors.  Caleb Oestrike recovered a fumble and returned it 40-yards for a touchdown, and Wesley Juarez kicked 2 extra points fir the Warriors.

The YAIAA’s Division II Trojans of York Suburban were defeated by the Mid-Penn- Keystone Division’s Patriots of Red Land 17-7.  Justin Johnson led the Patriots rushing attack with 231-yards (including a 53-yard touchdown), followed by Nathan Stahl with 17, Derek Cline with 3-yards, Hunter Briner with minus1-yard, and Jake Radic with minus 20-yards.  Quarterback Radic completed 5 of 19 passes for 87-yards and 1 touchdown, 2 for 62-yards to Briner (including a 27-yard touchdown), 2 for 14-yards to Zi Reevey, and 1 for 11-yards to Kyle Campbell, for the Patriots.  Chad Stout kicked a 23-yard field goal and 2 extra points for the Patriots.  Dajour Henderson led the Trojans rushing attack with 37-yards, followed by Jadon Haynes with 18, Travis Edwards with 13 (including a 2-yard touchdown), Teague Hoffman with 9-yards, and Thomas Merkle with minus 21-yards.  Quarterback Merkle completed 14 of 21 passes for 173-yards, 5 for 117-yards to Collin Mailman, 3 for 21-yards to Brad Smith, 3 for 16-yards to Henderson, 1 for 13-yards to Haynes, 1for 8-yards to Colin Deardorf, and 1 for minus 2-yards to Edwards, for the Trojans.  Jonas Atkinson kicked 1 extra point, Shane Robinson intercepted 1 pass and returned it for 6-yards and defended a pass, Mailman and Smith each defended 2 passes, Dustan Knaub recorded 16 sacks and 1 defended pass, Deardorf recorded 13 tackles and 1 defended pass, and Henderson defended pass, for the Trojans.

The YAIAA’s Division III Thunderbolts of Littlestown were shut out by the Mid-Penn’s Capital Division Bubblers of Boiling Springs 35-0.  Bryan Malone led the Bubblers rushing attack with 277-yards (including touchdowns of 56, 20, 88 and 26-yards), followed by Adam Morrow with 32 (including a 9-yard touchdown), Chase Edwards with 15, Kaiden Karper with 10, Hunter Goshorn with 8, Cory Calaman with 5-yards, and Hunter Breon with minus 15-yards.  Quarterback Breon completed 6 of 10 passes for 112-yards, 3 for 53-yards to Goshorn, 1 for 32-yards to Edwards, 1 for 15-yards to Tristan Erick, and 1 for 9-yards to Dylan McCoy, for the Bubblers.  Matt Ly kicked 3 extra points and Malone ran in for a 2-point conversion for the Bubblers.  Anthony Weaver led the Thunderbolts rushing attack with 33-yards, followed by Austin Watters with 27, Timothy Perez with 18, Cody Boyd with 8, Connor Geiman with 7, Andrew Matthews with 3, Dylan Morey with 2, Dylan Sizemore with 2-yards, and Tanner Noble with minus 7-yards.  Quarterback Boyd completed 7 of 21 passes for 55-yards and Noble completed 4 of 5 passes for 13-yards, for the Thunderbolts.  Brandon Pittinger caught 2 passes for 22-yards, Trenton Hartlaub caught 2 passes for 11-yards, Jackson Hornbrook caught 2 pass for 10-yards, Colin McNeal caught 1 pass for 10-yards, Ben Snouffer caught 1 pass for 10-yards, Tyler Runkles caught 1 pass for 8-yards, and Morey caught 2 passes for minus 3-yards, for the Thunderbolts.

The YAIAA’s Division III Squires of Delone Catholic were defeated by the Mid-Penn Capital Division’s Shamrocks of Trinity 42-28.  Hunter Geisel led the Shamrocks rushing attack with 47-yards (including touchdowns of 7 and 1-yards), followed by Colby Rigg with 46, Dominick Manetta with 22, and Drew DeBastiani with 4-yards.  Quarterback Geisel completed 5 of 11 passes for 233-yards and 1 touchdown, 2 for 124-yards to Jordan Moore (including a 65-yard touchdown), 1 for 85-yards to DeBastiani, 1 for 13-yards to Riggs, and 1 for 11-yards to Alexander Schlager for the Shamrocks.  DeBastiani returned 2 kickoffs, for 90 and 89-yards, for touchdowns, Sean Scott intercepted a pass and returned it 18-yards and defended 1 pass, Bill Schiffer recorded 1 sack and defended 1 pass, Caleb Cash and Isaac Somerville each recorded 1 sack, Schlager defended 2 passes, and Jack McHale, Tre Moody, Jordan Moore, and DeBastiani each defended1 pass, for the Shamrocks.  An unknown kicker kicked 6 extra points for the Shamrocks.  Sean Sneeringer led the Squires rushing attack with 101-yards (including a 3-yard touchdown), followed by Tavian Dorsey with 61, Ryan Hart with 18, Zach Hart with 18, Andrew Hernandez with 15, and Brian Shermeyer with 11-yards.  Quarterback Shermeyer completed 5 of 15 passes for 90-yards and 2 touchdowns, 1 for 39-yards and a touchdown to Zach Hart, 3 for 26yards to Larry Lefler III (including a 17-yard touchdown, and 1 for 25-yards to Alec Maitland, for the Squires.  Dorsey returned a kickoff 80-yards for a touchdown and Brandon Hall kicked 4 extra points for the Squires.

The YAIAA’s Division III Canners of Biglerville were edged by the Lancaster-Lebanon League’s Section 3 Dutchmen of Annville-Cleona 39-36 in double overtime.  Adam Fox led the Dutchmen rushing attack with 179-yards (including 3 touchdowns), followed by Will Langan with 40 (including a touchdown), Alec Barr with 24, Cameron Hoch with 12, and Mark Wagner with 6-yards.  Quarterback Fox completed 2 of 7 passes for 833-yards, 1 for 2-yards to Barr and 1 for 1-yard to Hoch, for the Dutchmen.  Fox also returned an interception 15-yards for a touchdown, Matt Light kicked a 20-yard field goal in the second overtime to win the game, and 4 extra points, Langan ran in for a 2-point conversion, Barr and Fox each intercepted a pass, and Chris Boltz and Alex Musante each recorded sack, for the Dutchman.  Dayne Showers led the Canners rushing attack with 116-yards and 2 touchdowns.  Ben Hurda scored a touchdown on an 8-yard run and threw a 2-point conversion pass to Nick Bell.  TJ Weaver scored a touchdown on a 9-yard run, and Nate Newberry intercepted a pass, for the Canners.  No other information is known about this game.

The YAIAA’s Division III Nighthawks of Hanover shut out the Mid-Penn Colonial Division’s Rockets of James Buchanan 33-0.  Jordan Laughman led the Nighthawks rushing attack with 84-yards (including touchdowns of 18 and 19-yards), followed by Devon Bell with 54 (including an 8-yard touchdown), Justin Barnes with 11, Deandre Kerr with 10, Nick Seymour with 6, Colten Ehrhart with 4, Kyle Krout with 4, Austin Snider with 2-yards, Resean Williams with minus 2-yards, Logan Brown with minus 9-yards, and Sam Duval with minus 11-yards.  Quarterback Krout completed 11 of 20 passes for 121-yards and 2 touchdowns, 3 for 25-yards to Austin Bryson (including a 21-yard touchdown), 2 for 25-yards to Laughman, 1 for 23-yards and a touchdown to Ehrhart, 2 for 14-yards to Williams, 1 for 7-yards to Brown, and 1 for 7-yards to Luis Lara, and Duval completed 1 pass for 20-yards to Fabian Lara, for the Nighthawks.  Bell ran in for a 2-point conversion, Barnes kicked 1 extra point, and Hunter Martz intercepted a pass, for the Nighthawks.  Seth Carbaugh led the Rockets rushing attack with 117-yards, followed by Remi Spoonhour with minus 2-yards, and Clay Sanders with minus 10-yards.  Quarterback Sanders completed 4 of 9 passes for 27-yards, 1for 21-yards to Carlos Rauch, 1 for 4-yards to Colby Bradshaw, 1 for 4-yards to Clay Ziemba, and 1 for minus 2-yards to Caden Ficks, and Spoonhour completed 1 of 9 passes for 4-yards to Rauch, for the Rockets.

The YAIAA’s Division III Knights of Fairfield shut out by the Tri Valley Conference Buffaloes of Newport 42-0 in a game that was called due to thunderstorms with 4:35 left in the second quarter.  Dalton Klinger led the Buffaloes rushing attack with 65-yards (including touchdowns of 19 and 43-yards), followed by Elias Goodling with 32, Aaron Foose with 5-yards, and Gary Johnson with 1-yard.  Quarterback Noah Heimbaugh completed 4 of 6 passes for 104-yards and 3 touchdowns, 1 for 49-yards and a touchdown to Goodling, 2 for 45-yards to Trevan Dorman (including an 11-yard touchdown), 1 for 10-yards and a touchdown to Klinger, and Nikolas Grabiec completed 1 of 2 passes for 12-yards to Johnson, for the Buffaloes.  Goodling returned a punt 95-yards for a touchdown and Kevin Sheafer kicked 6 extra points for the Buffaloes.  Tyler Karsteter led the Knights rushing attack with 31-yards, followed by Charlie Burnett with 28, Darian Mort with 10-yards, and Matt Petrie with minus 1-yard.  Quarterback Mort completed 1 of 10 passes for 9-yards to Petrie for the Knights.

The YAIAA’s Division III Spartans of York County Tech defeated the Lancaster-Lebanon League’s Section 3 Braves of Pequea Valley 27-21 in overtime.  Brandon Montouth led the Spartans rushing attack with 67-yards (including a 2-yard touchdown, followed by Matthew Rossi with 61, Ben Jackson with 15, Tyler Shoop with 4-yards, and Josiah Smallwood with 1-yard for the game winning touchdown in overtime.  Quarterback Smallwood completed 2 of 9 passes for 11-yards, 1 for 8-yards to Montouth and 1 for 3-yards to David Porter, for the Spartans.  Isaiah Colon returned a kickoff 75-yards for a touchdown, Montouth returned a punt 60-yards for a touchdown, and Jose Orielas kicked 3 extra points, for the Spartans.  Austin Fisher led the Braves rushing attack with 76-yards, followed by Jordan Lapp with 57 (including a 1-yard touchdown), Gabe Aligyer with 30 (including a 1-yard touchdown), and Jason Stoltzfus with 11-yards.  Quarterback Lapp completed 11 of 18 passes for 90-yards, 6 for 69-yards to Chad Mullen (including a 15-yard touchdown), 3 for 14-yards to Fisher, 1 for 7-yards to Stoltzfus, and 1 for no yards to Aligyer, for the Braves.  Weston Douyrich kicked 3 extra points for the Braves.
